Drones Strike Arzamas Aerospace Plant Kill 1 Injure 2

On the morning of August 11, drones reportedly attacked two industrial zones in Russia's Nizhny Novgorod region, including the Arzamas Instrument-Building Plant, a defense enterprise producing equipment for aviation, space, and military applications. The strikes caused multiple explosions, resulting in one death and two injuries, with fires reported but later extinguished. Governor Gleb Nikitin confirmed the attacks targeted key industrial facilities and stated that authorities and plant management are coordinating the response. The Arzamas plant and the nearby city of Dzerzhinsk, both significant military industry centers, have been under international sanctions due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Ukraine has not commented on the incident, but it regularly conducts drone strikes deep within Russian territory to weaken Moscow's military capabilities.
