The committee is set to vote on Gabbard's nomination soon, and her path to confirmation may depend on garnering support from Democrats, as she currently has none. Young emphasized his commitment to national security in his endorsement of Gabbard, following pressure from her supporters, including tech mogul Elon Musk.
