DraftKings Signs Multiyear Exclusive Deal With NBCUniversal
DraftKings announced a multiyear exclusive advertising agreement with NBCUniversal to deliver integrations and digital sponsorships across NBCU’s top sports properties, including the NFL, NBA, Premier League, PGA TOUR, Ryder Cup, NCAA events, WNBA and tentpole events such as Super Bowl LX, NBA All-Star Weekend and the 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup on Telemundo. The deal gives DraftKings category exclusivity across online sports betting, daily fantasy, iGaming, online lottery and horse wagering, with placements across NBCU’s linear, streaming and digital platforms and the ability to purchase digital sponsorships and leverage on-air talent. NBCU and DraftKings said the partnership will expand reach and accelerate live-betting and fan engagement, building on NBC Sports’ recent strong viewership (about 286 million sports viewers per month). The agreement arrives as consumer interest in sports wagering grows and amid intense competition from rivals like FanDuel and new threats such as prediction markets and parlay-margin pressure. The market reacted negatively: DraftKings’ stock fell about 10% to $38.04 as investors weighed competitive headwinds and broader market dynamics.
