Encinitas Hosts Youth Piano Competition, Community Expo

The City of Encinitas is hosting the 2025 Youth Piano Concerto Competition, inviting K-12 musicians to compete for a $250 contract to perform alongside the North Coast Symphony Orchestra on June 14, 2025. Additionally, the Encinitas Chamber of Commerce will hold a Community Resource Expo on February 8, providing local businesses the opportunity to showcase their services. The Community Pet Food Bank at Rancho Coastal Humane Society is also open on Saturdays to support low-income pet owners, with donations encouraged. In another cultural event, the Lunar New Year floral display at South Coast Plaza celebrates 2025 as the Year of the Snake, featuring a photo exhibit and craft activities for children. This exhibit, along with other events related to the Lunar New Year, is set to run through February 9. Lastly, UC Irvine's Samuel Jordan Center for Persian Studies is presenting an exhibition on the sacred landscapes of the Yezidi and Yārsān communities until February 7.
