A collision between a Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) bus and an SUV occurred on Tuesday morning around 9:40 a.m. in Louisville, sending seven students to Norton Children's Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The accident took place at the intersection of Barret Avenue and Baxter Avenue, where the bus reportedly pulled out in front of the SUV as it attempted to make a right turn. There were 40 students on board the bus during the incident, and the remaining students were transferred to another bus to continue to Breckinridge Franklin Elementary School. Both the bus driver and the SUV driver were unharmed, with the latter being checked on at the scene. The investigation into the crash is being handled by the Louisville Metro Police Department's Fifth Division. Authorities emphasize that all injured students are expected to recover.
