Truro City Secures Historic Promotion to National League

Truro City made history by becoming the first Cornish club to earn promotion to the National League, the fifth tier of English football, after a decisive 5-2 victory over St Albans City. Entering the dramatic final day as one of six teams with a chance at the title, Truro surged to a three-goal lead within the first ten minutes, with goals from Luke Jephcott, Dominic Johnson-Fisher, and Tyler Harvey setting the tone. Despite strong competition from Torquay United, who finished level on points and won their match 4-1, Truro clinched the championship on goal difference, having scored 75 goals to Torquay’s 73 and conceding 42 each.
