The custom-built vehicle, based on the G-Class, will allow the pope to travel emission-free during the upcoming 2025 Jubilee, attracting millions of pilgrims. Developed over nearly a year, the Popemobile features a heated, elevated seat for better visibility and a rotating design for interacting with crowds. Mercedes-Benz's collaboration with the Vatican honors the pope's environmental commitments, as highlighted in his encyclical 'Laudato Si'. This vehicle continues a long tradition between the automaker and the papacy, having provided popemobiles since 1930.
