Consultant Matthew Isles admits child sex offense in Stafford

Dr. Matthew Isles, a 52-year-old ENT consultant at Royal Stoke University Hospital and County Hospital in Stafford, has pleaded guilty to attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child. He was arrested on February 10 following an investigation by Staffordshire Police's Public Protection Unit and charged the next day. Isles is currently on conditional bail and is set to be sentenced at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on April 11. The University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust is cooperating with the police investigation but cannot comment on the ongoing case.
