Flavio Cobolli Wins Hamburg Open, Moves to Career-High No. 26
Italian tennis player Flavio Cobolli won the Hamburg Open by defeating third seed Andrey Rublev 6-2, 6-4, marking his second title of the season after his Bucharest victory. Cobolli showcased a dominant performance, saving six of seven break points and hitting 26 winners to Rublev's ten, despite overcoming a bloodied knee during the match. This victory at the ATP 500 event is the biggest of Cobolli's career and will elevate him to a career-high ranking of No. 26. Cobolli expressed pride and happiness, acknowledging the support of his family and friends who were present. Rublev, a former Hamburg champion, was unable to recover after a pivotal rally and faced defeat in his third final in Hamburg. Cobolli is now set to face Marin Cilic in the opening round of the upcoming French Open.
