Bezos Warns of AI Bubble; Amazon Investing

Speaking at Italian Tech Week in Turin, Jeff Bezos warned the current surge in AI investment has the hallmarks of an "industrial bubble," with valuations and stock prices often disconnected from business fundamentals. He said the frenzy makes it hard to distinguish promising ventures from doomed ones, noting tiny teams are sometimes given multibillion-dollar valuations before they have products. Drawing on lessons from the dot‑com and 1990s biotech booms, Bezos argued such bubbles can still yield lasting innovations and major societal benefits once the market corrects. He added that AI is real and will change every industry and that Amazon is actively investing in infrastructure—data centers and custom chips—to meet rising AI demand.
