Firefighters Nationwide Deployed to Combat LA Wildfires

Firefighters from across the Bay Area and as far as Washington and Oregon are deploying to assist in battling the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles County, which have claimed eleven lives and destroyed an estimated 10,000 structures. The blazes, including the Palisades and Eaton fires, have consumed nearly 30,000 acres, exacerbated by strong Santa Ana winds. Agencies from Alameda County, San Mateo County, Wenatchee, Chelan, and Douglas County have sent hundreds of personnel and equipment to aid in the firefighting efforts.
