Jaydev Unadkat Extends Sussex Contract to 2026
Indian left-arm pacer Jaydev Unadkat has signed a two-year contract extension with Sussex County Cricket Club, ensuring his presence until the 2026 season. He had an impressive spell with the team, taking 15 wickets in three matches during his debut season in 2023 and 22 wickets at an average of 14.40 in the 2024 season, which helped Sussex secure the Division Two title. Unadkat expressed his gratitude towards head coach Paul Farbrace and the team, stating that he feels at home in Hove. Farbrace praised Unadkat's on-field performance and his popularity among teammates, highlighting his character as well. In addition to his commitments with Sussex, Unadkat is currently leading the Saurashtra team in the Ranji Trophy. He has represented India in 22 matches across formats, with his last international appearance in July 2023 against the West Indies.
