Netflix Announces Cast for The Boroughs Series

Netflix has announced the cast for 'The Boroughs', a supernatural mystery series from 'Stranger Things' creators Matt and Ross Duffer. The ensemble includes Alfred Molina, Geena Davis, Alfre Woodard, Denis O’Hare, Clarke Peters, and Bill Pullman, with Molina playing the character Sam and Davis portraying Renee. The plot revolves around a group of seniors in a retirement community who must unite to combat an otherworldly threat that seeks to steal their time. The series, created by Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews, consists of eight episodes and will begin filming in September, concluding in early 2025. Ben Taylor will direct multiple episodes, including the pilot, and the project is under the Duffer Brothers' Upside Down Pictures, which is also working on 'Stranger Things 5'. The Duffer Brothers have described the heroes of 'The Boroughs' as a 'lovable bunch of misfits' reminiscent of the characters from 'Stranger Things'.
