John Callis, a 24-year-old Baltimore Ravens fan, has surrendered to police after being identified in a viral video assaulting two Washington Commanders fans following a game on October 13, 2024. Callis faces charges of first-degree aggravated assault and three counts of second-degree assault. The video, widely circulated on social media, shows Callis attacking the two men in Baltimore's Federal Hill neighborhood, resulting in one victim suffering a concussion. Social media users played a significant role in identifying Callis, leading to his dismissal from the insurance firm Maury Donnelly & Parr. Callis had a previous arrest for assault in 2021, for which he received probation and a fine. His bond status is currently unknown, and he is awaiting further legal proceedings.
