Chelsea has signed 19-year-old United States left-back Caleb Wiley from Atlanta United on a six-year contract for a reported fee of approximately £8.5 million ($10.9 million). Wiley, who has been with Atlanta United since joining their academy at age 11, made his senior debut for the U.S. national team last October and is currently with the U.S. Olympic squad in Paris. He made 83 appearances for Atlanta, contributing six goals and seven assists. Wiley is expected to spend the next season on loan at Strasbourg, a club also owned by Chelsea's parent group, BlueCo. This transfer adds to Chelsea's summer signings, which include Omari Kellyman, Marc Guiu, and Tosin Adarabioyo.
