Palisades Charter High School Damaged by Wildfires

A massive wildfire in the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles has partially destroyed Palisades Charter High School, a well-known filming location with notable alumni like will.i.am and Forest Whitaker. Although the main building remains standing, several athletic facilities and bungalows were damaged, with reports indicating that around 70% of the campus structures may have survived. The fire, part of a larger outbreak affecting over 3,000 acres and resulting in the evacuation of approximately 30,000 residents, has also impacted other historic sites, including Will Rogers’ ranch house. The school, which serves about 3,000 students and was scheduled to begin a new term soon, urged families to avoid the area as firefighters continue to battle the blaze. Local authorities reported no injuries during the rapid evacuation of students and staff at the time of the fire. The situation remains critical as multiple fires in the region remain uncontained.
