Inmate escapes custody at Seattle-Tacoma Airport, boards light rail
Sedrick T. Stevenson, a 28-year-old inmate wanted on multiple warrants from Bowling Green, Kentucky, escaped custody at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport around 11 a.m. on Sunday. While being transported by a contracted agent during the check-in process, Stevenson fled toward the light rail station and successfully boarded a northbound train. Security footage and Sound Transit confirmed he was last seen exiting at the Capitol Hill station in Seattle. Stevenson is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall, African-American with dreadlocks, and was last seen wearing a white shirt, white or grey zip-up hoodie, grey pants, and white shoes. He is now wanted for second-degree escape in addition to his existing warrants. Authorities are actively searching for Stevenson, but the incident did not impact airport operations.
