House Democrats Call for Media Access to Gaza

A coalition of 65 House Democrats, led by Representative James P. Since the onset of the conflict, at least 130 journalists have died, predominantly Palestinian, amidst a backdrop of escalating violence and humanitarian crisis in the region. The lack of independent reporting has created challenges in obtaining accurate information, leading to skepticism regarding media coverage from Gaza. Nearly 180 Palestinian journalists have been killed, with local reporters facing extreme danger and deprivation while documenting the war. Despite previous calls from media organizations for improved access, Israel continues to impose significant barriers, limiting foreign media to controlled military-led tours.
