Rambo Prequel to Begin Filming in Thailand October

A new prequel film titled 'John Rambo' is being developed by Millennium Media to explore the iconic character's origin before the 1982 film 'First Blood.' Jalmari Helander ('Sisu') is directing, with a screenplay by Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvani ('Black Adam'). Principal photography is scheduled to begin in Thailand in October, and casting for a younger actor to play John Rambo is underway. Sylvester Stallone, who originated the role, is not currently involved but could participate in some capacity. The film is being presented to buyers at the Cannes Film Festival and aims to both honor the franchise and attract new audiences. The plot will focus on Rambo's Vietnam War experiences and his transformation from an optimistic young soldier to the hardened hero known by fans.
