Florida Teacher Arrested on Drug Charges

Christopher Morin, a 45-year-old social studies teacher at Martin County High School, has been arrested on multiple drug-related charges, including possession of methamphetamine and GHB, after an undercover operation led to his apprehension. Morin was allegedly in communication with someone he believed to be a fellow drug user on the dating app Grindr when he arranged to meet at a local gas station. Law enforcement recovered 3.3 grams of methamphetamine, 24.7 grams of GHB, and syringes from his vehicle. The school principal expressed deep disappointment and reassured parents that Morin would not have access to school property if released. Morin, who has no prior criminal history, is currently on unpaid suspension, and the school district is considering his termination pending the investigation's outcome. In a separate incident, another teacher was arrested for aggravated child abuse after allegedly striking a special needs student, highlighting ongoing concerns about educator conduct in schools.
