Emirates Orders Five More Boeing 777 Freighters

Emirates has ordered five additional Boeing 777 freighters, expanding its SkyCargo fleet to a total of 21 by the end of 2026. This announcement follows recent criticism from Emirates’ chairman regarding delays in Boeing's 777X passenger jet program. Despite these concerns, Emirates continues to show confidence in Boeing by placing this new order, which adds to previous commitments. The airline is also evaluating whether to choose the Boeing 777-8F or Airbus A350-1000F for its future freighter fleet, with a decision expected by the end of the year. Additionally, Emirates is set to reintroduce its high-capacity A380 aircraft to Prague and Copenhagen, significantly increasing seat availability on these routes. This strategic move aligns with the airline's goal to enhance its competitiveness in the market.
