Austin police are seeking the public's help to identify a suspected serial killer linked to the murders of Alyssa Ann Rivera and Alba Jenisse Aviles through DNA evidence. Rivera was found dead in an abandoned house on June 21, 2024, while Aviles was discovered in her car in April 2018, both in the Austin area. Both victims were sexually assaulted and strangled. Surveillance footage shows a short Hispanic male walking with Rivera before her death. Law enforcement believes the same suspect may be responsible for both murders and potentially more, urging anyone with information to come forward. A reward is being offered for tips leading to an arrest.
