Netflix Previews Taiwanese Revenge Thriller The Resurrected, Releases October 9

Netflix has announced the release of two new thriller series set to debut in the fall, each offering unique takes on suspense and horror. 'The Resurrected,' a Taiwanese revenge thriller arriving on October 9, follows two mothers who resurrect a deceased criminal for seven days to exact vengeance, leading to unforeseen consequences. Meanwhile, 'Wayward,' premiering on September 25, explores a creepy town with dark secrets centered around a school for troubled teens, blending elements of thriller, horror, and comedy, and starring Toni Collette. Additionally, HBO Max has added the horror film 'The Nun' to its streaming lineup; the 2018 movie is part of The Conjuring series and remains one of the highest-grossing horror films despite mixed reviews. Mike Flanagan's 'Ouija: Origin of Evil,' a 2016 horror prequel that helped establish his reputation, will soon leave Netflix, marking the end of its current streaming availability. Also, Netflix UK recently added the 2005 psychological thriller 'Flightplan,' starring Jodie Foster, which has been reappraised as an underrated gem within its genre.
