Six Ohio State Women’s Hockey Players Drafted to PWHL Teams

Several collegiate and youth hockey players from various regions have recently received significant recognition and opportunities in their hockey careers. Six Ohio State women's hockey players were drafted into the Professional Women's Hockey League in 2025, the highest number from any collegiate team in this draft class. Meanwhile, 21 members of the University of New Hampshire men's hockey team and 19 Boston University women's ice hockey players earned spots on the Hockey East All-Academic Team, highlighting their academic excellence alongside athletic performance. Additionally, multiple local players were selected for prestigious USA Hockey development camps, including the Boys National 15 Player Development Camp and the USHL Fall Classic, underscoring their potential for future national programs. In field hockey, several Sentinel-area athletes were chosen for USA Field Hockey's summer development tournaments, including the Senior and Junior Nexus Championships and the Junior Olympics, showcasing the region's talent pipeline. These selections reflect a broad spectrum of achievements in hockey, from academic honors to professional drafting and national development opportunities.
