Weld County Deputy Shoots Armed Man Near Greeley

A Weld County Sheriff's deputy shot a man twice after he discharged his firearm during a disturbance early Sunday morning in unincorporated Weld County, near Greeley. The incident occurred around 12:15 a.m. when deputies responded to a call on 2nd Avenue Lane, where they encountered an armed individual who fired shots. The man was subsequently taken to a hospital and is expected to survive his injuries. The 19th Judicial District Critical Incident Response Team is investigating the incident, which involved the use of deadly force by an officer.
