Vinicius Jr. and Bonmatí Win FIFA Player Awards

Vinicius Jr of Real Madrid was awarded the FIFA Best Men's Player title, marking his first major individual accolade after a successful 2023-24 season, where he helped his team to win both the Champions League and La Liga titles. Despite being overlooked for the Ballon d’Or in favor of Manchester City's Rodri, Vinicius was recognized at the FIFA event in Doha. The award was decided by a combination of public votes, journalists, national team captains, and managers. Aitana Bonmatí from Barcelona won the Women's Player of the Year for the second consecutive year. Real Madrid's Carlo Ancelotti and the US women's team coach Emma Hayes were recognized as the top coaches. The ceremony also saw Manchester United's Alejandro Garnacho winning the Puskas Award for the best goal.
