Meta's Threads is testing several new features aimed at enhancing user experience, particularly for creators and businesses. These include an 'Insights' feature for performance analytics, which will provide data on views, replies, and follower demographics, along with a 'multiple drafts' feature allowing users to save up to 100 drafts. Additionally, Threads plans to introduce a scheduling option for posts, enabling users to set future publication dates. Another anticipated feature is 'disappearing posts,' allowing posts and replies to vanish after 24 hours, addressing concerns over the permanence of online content. This ephemeral feature, discovered by technologist Chris Messina, is currently an internal prototype and not yet available for external testing. The rollout of these features is part of Threads' effort to compete more effectively with X (formerly Twitter) as it continues to grow its user base.
