West Wareham Man Charged After Fatal OUI Crash

Raymond Cardoza, a 67-year-old from West Wareham, Massachusetts, has been charged with manslaughter while operating under the influence—his fourth OUI offense—after allegedly cutting off and fatally striking 25-year-old Jordan Hansen on Cranberry Highway. Cardoza, whose license was suspended, left the scene and was found a quarter-mile away before being arrested. Hansen was transported to a hospital but died from his injuries. Cardoza is being held on $100,000 cash bail pending arraignment. The incident has heightened concerns about repeat OUI offenders driving despite license suspensions and has left Hansen's family grieving. The Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office and Wareham police are continuing their investigation.
