A series of sexual assault incidents related to fraudulent National Cadet Corps (NCC) camps in Tamil Nadu's Krishnagiri district has led to multiple arrests, including school principals and administrators. The main suspect, A. Sivaraman, who had been arrested in connection with the assaults, died by suicide while in custody. Two separate incidents involved the sexual abuse of a 14-year-old girl and harassment of 12 others, prompting police investigations that have now resulted in a total of 14 arrests. The first incident involved a private school correspondent who was arrested for not reporting the assaults, while the second principal was taken into custody for concealing a rape case. These incidents have raised significant concerns about student safety in private educational institutions and the need for stricter oversight.
