Burlington Police Officer Shoots at Driver, Vermont State Police Investigate
Early Sunday morning in Burlington, Vermont, a police officer fired his duty weapon at the driver of a vehicle during a traffic stop following a disturbance call. No injuries were reported in the incident, which occurred around 12:40 a.m. near 16 Prospect Hill. The Vermont State Police Major Crime Unit is conducting an investigation, and the officer involved has been placed on paid administrative leave. The officer's identity will be released after 24 hours in accordance with policy.
