Arsenal Raya, Nottingham Forest Sels Share Premier League Golden Glove

David Raya of Arsenal and Matz Sels of Nottingham Forest were named joint winners of the Premier League Golden Glove award for the 2024/25 season, each recording 13 clean sheets, the lowest total to win the award since its inception. Raya secured his second consecutive Golden Glove and helped Arsenal achieve the league's best defensive record, while Sels became the first goalkeeper outside the traditional 'big six' clubs to win the award, playing a crucial role in Forest's impressive seventh-place finish and qualification for continental football. Sels, who joined Forest in February 2024 from Strasbourg, made 120 saves and prevented 4.53 goals, earning recognition alongside Raya, who joined Arsenal permanently ahead of the season. This joint win marks only the third time the award has been shared and highlights both goalkeepers' standout performances in a competitive season. Raya aims to become the third goalkeeper to win the award three times consecutively, joining Pepe Reina and Joe Hart. Meanwhile, Sels stands out as the second Belgian to win the Golden Glove, following Thibaut Courtois.
