However, his 11-year-old sister, who survived by playing dead, informed authorities that Andrew was the actual perpetrator, using their father's Glock handgun, for which he alone knew the lockbox combination. The surviving sister reported that Andrew had been troubled by academic failures, which might have contributed to the crime. The juvenile court case may be moved to adult court, given the severity of the charges.
