Agoda Reports Surge in International Travel Searches

Agoda reports a 34% increase in accommodation searches for international trips among Filipino travelers this New Year’s Eve, with Tokyo, Hong Kong, Taipei, Bangkok, and Singapore as the top five destinations. Domestic travel searches also saw a modest rise of 2%, while inbound travel searches increased by 10% compared to last year. Mike Hwang, Agoda's Country Director, expressed excitement about the growing interest in international travel for New Year’s celebrations, noting that Manila, Cebu, and Boracay are popular domestic spots. Inbound searches predominantly come from South Korea, Japan, and the United States. Additionally, Agoda has achieved IATA accreditation, enhancing its credibility and operational efficiency in the Indian and Korean flight markets. This accreditation allows Agoda to offer a broader range of services and better prices to travelers, reinforcing its commitment to facilitating global travel.
