Three Dead in South Carolina Land Dispute Shooting
A shooting in Woodruff, South Carolina, on September 27 claimed the lives of three men—Paul Higgins, 38, Jeremy Faulkner, 34, both from Woodruff, and 22-year-old Nicolas Long from Greenville. The incident, which occurred around 8 PM, was reportedly sparked by a dispute over hunting land rights. A fourth individual sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital by a private vehicle. Witnesses, including family members of the deceased, were interviewed by the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office, which is treating the case as homicides. Investigators have yet to determine the specifics of the dispute or how many individuals were involved in the gunfire. The sheriff's office confirmed that there is no ongoing threat to the public as they continue their investigation.
