Multiple U.S., Canadian Facilities Host September Open Houses

Several community organizations and facilities are hosting open house events this September to engage the public and showcase their offerings. Oak Bay's Monterey Recreation Centre will hold an open house on Sept. 10 to highlight its wide range of activities and clubs available for membership, following recent renovations. In Pittsfield, 1Berkshire is inviting the public to tour its new downtown office on Sept. 4, emphasizing its role in promoting and supporting the Berkshire region. Spaceport America, the world’s first purpose-built commercial spaceport in New Mexico, will host a free open house on Sept. 21 featuring vendors, STEM activities, and guest speakers including NASA astronaut Wendy Lawrence and New Mexico Lt. Gov. Howie Morales. Meanwhile, Manistee’s Safe Harbor homeless shelter is holding an open house to raise awareness, encourage volunteerism, and provide tours of its facility, which serves vulnerable populations during the winter months.
