Tata Elxsi, CSIR-NAL Partner on Air Mobility

Tata Elxsi and the CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories (CSIR-NAL) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a Strategic Partnership aimed at advancing technologies in Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), Urban Air Mobility (UAM), and electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. This collaboration seeks to leverage NAL's aeronautical expertise and Tata Elxsi’s technological strengths in areas like electrification and AI to meet the growing demands of both global and Indian markets. The partnership aims to enhance product development cycles by utilizing advanced testing infrastructures and methodologies, focusing on aerodynamic design, autonomous systems, and secure communications. With initiatives like 'Make in India' and rising demand for air mobility solutions, the partnership is expected to foster a robust ecosystem of manufacturers and suppliers while shaping industry regulations and standards. Manoj Raghavan, MD & CEO of Tata Elxsi, emphasized their commitment to innovation in aerospace technologies through this collaboration.
