Carmelo Anthony Inducted, Joins NBC as Analyst

Carmelo Anthony was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame after a 22-season NBA career that included more than 28,000 points, 10 All-Star selections and four Olympic medals. In his Hall of Fame speech he cited Olympic golds, his return to the Knicks, the 2013 scoring title and his 62‑point Madison Square Garden game, and emphasized gratitude and family. He said he’s learning to pause and appreciate the journey and has partnered with 1800 Milenio to mark the milestone. Anthony will begin a new role as an NBA analyst with NBC to stay connected to the game. He reflected that his final season with the Los Angeles Lakers — when he averaged 13.3 points and shot 37.5% from three while coming off the bench — felt like his best year.
