Minor Hotels Begins Construction of First Avani Hotel in Singapore

Minor Hotels has commenced construction on its first Avani-branded hotel in Singapore, located at 24 Peck Seah Street in the Tanjong Pagar district, with an anticipated opening in the second quarter of 2027. The 14-storey lifestyle hotel will feature 200 rooms and blend the heritage of the historic shophouse precinct with Avani's contemporary style, including amenities such as a pool deck, AvaniFit gym, dining options, and a pedestrian link connecting Peck Seah and Tras Street. Strategically situated less than 200 meters from Tanjong Pagar MRT Station and 350 meters from Maxwell MRT Station, the hotel will provide convenient access to key business and leisure districts like Marina Bay and the Downtown Core. The project is a partnership between Minor Hotels, Singapore-based Kajima Development, and Abu Dhabi-based Al Wathba Investment, reflecting strong international confidence in Singapore's tourism market. The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by over 50 distinguished guests including senior executives from the partner companies and ambassadors from Japan and Thailand, underscoring the hotel's significance in expanding Avani's global footprint. Minor International chairman William E. Heinecke emphasized the project’s role in celebrating Singapore’s unique culture while advancing innovation and excellence in hospitality.
