The industry's environmental impact is significant, consuming massive amounts of electricity—equivalent to a quarter of the U.S. annual consumption—and generating large quantities of waste and water usage; thus, transitioning to renewable energy is essential. Empowering women-led enterprises in energy is also recognized as crucial for accelerating sustainable practices. High-profile fashion events increasingly showcase sustainable designs, with celebrities endorsing eco-conscious fashion, demonstrating that style and environmental responsibility can coexist.
