Early Voting Opens for Local Elections Across Multiple Cities

Early voting is underway in several U.S. cities as local elections approach. Chattanooga residents can vote early until February 27 ahead of the March 4 city elections, which include mayoral and city council candidates. In Frankfort, early voting will start on March 17 at designated locations, leading up to the consolidated election on April 1. Waukee has also kicked off early voting for a special election where residents will decide whether to sell the city-owned natural gas utility to MidAmerican Energy, with in-person absentee voting beginning on February 12. Additionally, early voting has commenced in suburban areas for the February 25 primary and the April 1 general elections. As these elections approach, local officials encourage residents to participate and ensure they are registered to vote.
