Glenn Phillips Out of IPL 2025 Due to Injury

Gujarat Titans' all-rounder Glenn Phillips has been ruled out for the rest of IPL 2025 after sustaining a groin injury while fielding against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 6. Phillips, who was acting as a substitute fielder, suffered the injury during a throw, leading him to collapse in pain and subsequently return to New Zealand for recovery. This development comes as a setback for the Titans, who are already missing Kagiso Rabada due to personal reasons, leaving the team with only five overseas players available. Despite these challenges, Gujarat Titans currently stand atop the IPL points table with four wins out of five matches. Phillips, acquired for INR 2 crore, was expected to be a significant player for the Titans following his strong performance in the Champions Trophy. The team has expressed wishes for his speedy recovery as they prepare for their next match against Lucknow Super Giants.
