Man Arrested After Castle Shannon Arson Kills 19-Year-Old Woman, Injures Others

A deadly house fire in Castle Shannon, Allegheny County, was intentionally set by a man known to the victims, resulting in the death of a 19-year-old woman and critical injury to another woman. The fire occurred on Corbett Drive just before 10 a.m. on Sunday, with first responders finding the teenage victim deceased at the scene and the other woman hospitalized. A firefighter also suffered smoke inhalation and was treated at the hospital. The suspect is in police custody and cooperating with investigators, and the Allegheny County Police Department's homicide unit is leading the investigation.
