Madan Rathore has been appointed as the new president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Rajasthan, replacing CP Joshi, who recently offered his resignation amid concerns over the party's performance in the Lok Sabha elections. Rathore, a Rajya Sabha MP and two-time MLA from Sumerpur, has been a prominent figure in the BJP and is associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). His appointment comes as the BJP seeks to strengthen its leadership in the state following a disappointing electoral showing, where it lost 11 out of 25 seats to the opposition. Alongside Rathore, Radha Mohan Das Agarwal has been appointed as the in-charge for Rajasthan, with Vijaya Rahatkar serving as co-in-charge. Rathore's first challenges will include preparing for upcoming by-elections and fostering coordination within the party's ranks. His elevation to party leadership reflects a strategic move to balance caste representation within the state leadership structure.
