Alabama Rallies to Beat South Carolina 29-22

Alabama rallied in the final 2½ minutes to beat South Carolina 29-22 in Columbia, scoring 15 points in roughly 102 seconds to secure its seventh straight win. Germie Bernard scored twice late — a 4-yard touchdown catch with 2:16 remaining and a 25-yard direct-snap run with 34 seconds left — while Ty Simpson finished with 253 passing yards and two touchdowns and DeShawn Jones returned an interception for a score. South Carolina quarterback LaNorris Sellers passed for 222 yards and rushed for 67, but a late fumble stripped by Deontae Lawson, penalties and a missed field goal contributed to the Gamecocks' collapse. The win improved Alabama to 7-1 (5-0 SEC) and was an important, if messy, road victory for coach Kalen DeBoer; South Carolina fell to 3-5 (1-5) and was left devastated by the late collapse.
