Oliveira Makes History with CFL Awards

Winnipeg Blue Bombers running back Brady Oliveira has made history by winning both the CFL’s Most Outstanding Player (MOP) and Most Outstanding Canadian (MOC) awards in the same season, a feat achieved by only three other players: Jon Cornish, Russ Jackson, and Tony Gabriel. Oliveira, a standout player from Winnipeg, led the league with 1,353 rushing yards and 1,829 yards from scrimmage, earning him a second consecutive rushing title and securing 31 of 56 first-place votes for MOP, beating out Hamilton Tiger-Cats quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell. As a proud Canadian, Oliveira emphasized the importance of inspiring future generations and highlighted his local roots, hailing from Winnipeg's Oak Park High School.
