Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Congress General Secretary, has criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) regarding the recruitment of 69,000 teachers in Uttar Pradesh, alleging that the party's 'double game' is causing social, economic, and mental harm to youth from both reserved and unreserved categories. Her remarks followed the Supreme Court's stay on an Allahabad High Court order that mandated the state government to create a fresh selection list for these positions, which has been a point of contention since the recruitment process began in 2018. Gandhi accused the BJP of stalling social justice, stating that the 'reservation scam' has robbed many Dalit and backward candidates of their rights. Additionally, Akhilesh Yadav, leader of the Samajwadi Party, echoed these concerns, claiming the BJP government is deliberately prolonging legal battles over the issue. He emphasized that the ongoing delays are causing emotional and financial distress for candidates who have been waiting for their appointments. Both leaders are demanding immediate action to rectify the situation and ensure justice for the affected youth.
