Two Men Dead in Wisconsin Rapids; One Arrested

Two men died in separate incidents in Wisconsin Rapids on Oct. 30–31: Antoni R. Quinones, 34, and Randall E. Harris Sr., 56. Quinones was injured at a residence on the 1400 block of 21st Avenue South and was brought to Aspirus Wisconsin Rapids Hospital with life‑threatening injuries, where he later died; his autopsy is scheduled for Nov. 3. While officers were at the hospital they were sent to a disturbance on the 500 block of 11th Street South, where Harris Sr. was found with life‑threatening injuries and later died; his autopsy is also scheduled for Nov. 3. Police say the two incidents do not appear to be connected and there is no known ongoing threat to the community; a shelter‑in‑place alert for part of Wood County issued Friday morning has been lifted. A 34‑year‑old man, identified in local reports as Randall E. Harris Jr., was arrested without incident in connection with Harris Sr.'s death and is being held at the Wood County Jail; multiple agencies are assisting in the active homicide investigation and authorities are asking anyone with information to come forward.
