The shooting occurred just before 12:30 a.m. on August 11, and Hardy was pronounced dead at the hospital. Palmer fled the scene but was arrested within 12 hours by Yonkers police detectives. Authorities described the incident as a targeted dispute and emphasized their commitment to apprehending those responsible for violence in the city. The case is being prosecuted by the Westchester County District Attorney's Office. Yonkers Police Commissioner Christopher Sapienza praised the quick police work and reiterated that senseless violence will not be tolerated.
