Salesforce has launched Agentforce, a suite of AI-powered autonomous agents designed to augment human workers across various business functions such as sales, marketing, commerce, and customer service. CEO Marc Benioff described this as the 'third wave of AI,' emphasizing its potential to transform business operations by enabling AI agents to autonomously handle tasks using data from Salesforce’s Data Cloud. Agentforce aims to replace level 1 customer service staff and can escalate more complex issues to human agents. The platform is designed to be user-friendly, requiring little to no coding for deployment and customization. Initial customers, including Disney and Kaiser Permanente, have reported significant improvements in efficiency and case resolution. The product will be showcased at Salesforce’s Dreamforce conference and is expected to be available by the end of October.
