The heckler, posting as "Mr. 100k A Day," followed Thomas around the track, shouting personal insults and claiming his harassment caused her to lose the 200-meter race, which helped him win over $2,500 in sports betting parlays. Thomas publicly condemned the behavior on social media, describing the stalking and insults as intolerable and criticizing those who enabled the man online. The heckler's comments included racially charged remarks contrasting Thomas's engagement to a white man with Melissa Jefferson-Wooden's marriage to a Black man. Grand Slam Track organizers have stated they are conducting a full investigation, aiming to identify the individual and implement safeguards to prevent similar incidents.
